Education minister receives Head of Rossotrudichestvo

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Yo.Baatarbileg received representatives led by Head of the Russian Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudichestvo) Eleanora Mitrofanova on September 2.
The sides discussed on opportunities for Mongolian children to acquire Russian language skills and having them learn about the history and culture of the Russian people. Specifically, they discussed continuing to organize Russian language olympiads as well as training Russian language teachers and their professional development.
During the meeting, a request was also put forth to increase the current number of 500 Mongolian children that study with Russian government scholarships, and have support in preparing teachers and educators that work with persons with disabilities and children.
