Education Minister receives ADB representative

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Yo.Baatarbileg received Mr. Sangay Penjor, Director of the Urban and Social Sectors Division at the East Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on April 2.
Mr. Sangay Penjor gave briefing on ongoing and four new projects to be implemented in 2020-2021 with the ADB financing. ADB has been supporting education sector in Mongolia since 1991, providing a total of USD 126.4 million loans and grants.
Minister Yo.Baatarbileg highlighted that the Government of Mongolia highly appreciates the long-term collaboration with the ADB and its contribution to the sector, noting that the ministry is committed to support the projects. Education Minister also requested to cooperate again on the Textbook Rental Scheme, emphasizing the effectiveness of the previous project in 2014-2015.
