Eight obstetricians and gynecologists to be trained in Japan
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In recent years, the Government has been
attentive towards advancing knowledge of health professionals. For instance, last
year, 95 medical doctors and professionals were trained in developed countries
with funding of MNT 2.8 billion. Thanks to that, we are now able to cure 14 out
of 39 diseases which could not be treated locally before. This year, a goal is
set to cure the remaining 25 diseases. A skilled workforce is significant for
achieving this goal.
Therefore, doctors of around 25 soums of Gobi-Altai and
Uvurkhangai were trained in obstetrics and gynecology last year in Japan. This
year, eight obstetricians and gynecologists of Zavkhan, Darkhan-Uul, Khuvsgul
and Uvs aimags will be provided with one-month training in Japan.
Under a joint project with JICA, doctors in those fields will
receive training in Japan between 2017 and 2021. Within the framework, four professional
training will take place.
