Health Minister checks services of central hospitals

On January 6, Health Minister D.Sarangerel worked at central hospitals of
Songinokhairkhan, Khan-Uul, Bayanzukh and Chingeltei districts to check health services in times of seasonal flu and flu-like disease outbreak.
While
seeing the situation, the Minister delivered essential equipment-infusion pumps
to the hospitals.
Today,
flu and flu-like illness makes up 6.6 percent of total ambulatory checkups,
showing an increase of 0.4 percent against last week, but a 6.9 percent
decrease as compared with the same period of previous year. Due to outbreak of seasonal flu A(H1N1) and A(H3N2),
loads at hospitals have considerably increased beginning January 3, 2019, in
particular it has increased by 105 percent at Health Center of Chinggeltei
District, 108.8 percent at Central Hospital of Khan-Uul district, 64 percent at
Health Center of Nalaikh district, 55.2 percent at Central Hospital of
Sukhbaatar district, 50.3 percent at Central Hospital of Songinokhairkhan
district as well as others.
Some
150 beds for adults and 266 portable beds have been placed in use for children’s
inpatient treatment.
The Minister assigned the Health Department of Ulaanbaatar city to make primary health service units operational for longer hours so as to reduce the loads of the central hospitals and ensure promptness of health service, increase personnel as well as others.
