WHO praises National Program ‘Whole Liver-Mongolia’ becoming a global model program

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Mongolia is successfully organizing the second stage of National Program ‘Whole Liver-Mongolia’.

To date, 786,250 people have been tested for Hepatitis B and C, of whom over 20 thousand people have been undergone further diagnosis and 3455 people have received treatment.   

In the margin of Whole Liver –Mongolia Program, five kinds of medicines for hepatitis and liver treatment are being discounted by the Health Insurance Fund. Currently, the Health Insurance Fund has spent MNT13.9 billion on the program implementation. World Health Organization appraised that Mongolia’s national program becomes ‘global model program’; thus marked ‘World Hepatitis Day’ for the first time in Mongolia, reported the Ministry of Health of Mongolia.
