Athlete M.Tumenbayar wins bronze at World Military Taekwondo
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The 24th World Military Taekwondo Championship is currently taking place at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Over 500 athletes of 41 countries are participating in the world championship.
Mongolian taekwondo athlete M.Tumenbayar won the bronze medal in -58 kg. While for his first match, he received a free win, he faced against athletes of Cameroon and Sri Lanka and came out victorious in the second and third matches.
For the semi-finals, he lost in the match against a taekwondo athlete of China, but was able to win his next match against an athlete from Kuwait, receiving the bronze medal.
M.Tumenbayar’s most recent achievements include the bronze medal from the Asian Games 2018 as well as the gold medal from 2018 World University Taekwondo Championship.
