International conference on Mongolian civilization held in Moscow

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ On the
occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Institute of Oriental Studies at the
Russian Academy of Sciences, an international scientific conference on
Mongolian civilization was held on October 27-28 in Moscow, Russian Federation.
Scientific director of the IOS, RAS and Academician V.V.Naumkin and First Vice President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences G.Chuluunbaatar addressed at the opening of the conference which was attended by researchers and scholars from Mongolia, Russia, France and the USA.
During the scientific conference, lectures on about 20 topics including history, archeology, culture and modern situation were presented by scholars of Mongol Studies. Present at the conference were First Secretaries of the Embassy of Mongolia to the Russian Federation A. Amarsaikhan and J. Bayarkhuu and counselor O.Ochirmaa.
