WHO's Regional Director for the Western Pacific works in Khuvsgul aimag

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The World Health Organization's (WHO) Regional Director for the Western Pacific Dr. Shin Young-soo is paying a working visit to Mongolia.
On July 25, Dr. Shin Young-soo visited Khuvsgul aimag with the working group of the Ministry of Health and WHO Representative in Mongolia Sergey Diorditsa and got acquainted with the local health organizations activities.
The aimag’s administration received Dr. Shin Young-soo and informed him about the healthcare service of the aimag, specifically universal health coverage and ‘Whole-Liver Mongolia’ national program.
During the visit, the working group members attended the opening of Emergency management unit of the Health Department and got information from the Ministry of Health, National Center for Communicable Diseases and National Center for Public Health online.
Dr. Shin Young-soo was introduced to the implementation of ‘Whole-Liver Mongolia’ program and expressed his confidence that Mongolia will set global benchmark. He will attend the World Hepatitis Day event to be held on July 27.
