Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During the Cabinet’s regular meeting on July 4, the following decisions were made:  

-The Cabinet resolved to finance 50 mWt extension of Choibalsan Thermal Power Plant with funding of the Development Bank and to put it into operation in 2021.
 
- The Cabinet granted rights to Ambassador of Mongolia to Kuwait Z.Chintushig to sign a project agreement on renovation of Undurkhaan Airport to be implemented with non-refundable aid from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
 
-The Cabinet decided to allocate required fund from the Government’s reserve fund for adding monitoring posts of livestock movement, combatting with locust swarms, rendering medical and social services to herders, making hay as well as fodder reserve.

- A resolution to grant monthly monetary allowance to reindeer herders (tsaatan) who live in Taiga will be revised. 478 reindeer herders of 84 households are living in east and west Taiga in Tsagaannuur soum of Khuvsgul aimag.
 
-The Cabinet approved a national program ‘Education for Sustainable Development’. Required fund for the program will be financed from state and local budgets and aids and loans from international organizations.
 
- This year will mark the 70th anniversary of conclusion of armed struggle which took place in west border in 1940-1948. An organizing commission of the anniversary was set up, headed by Minister of Justice and Home Affairs.
 
- Cabinet approved to celebrate  the 80th anniversary of the Khalkhyn Gol battle victory in 2019. The commission will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin.
 
- The Cabinet tasked Minister Ts.Nyamdorj to detect whether there is an illegal network of buying, passing, transporting and smuggling colored stones and  formulate a draft to amend related laws for tightening liablility of guilty persons.
