Khan Bank supports English language project

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An opening ceremony of the High School English Language Project which aims to develop the English language proficiency of remote high school students of the capital city took place on Tuesday, coincided with the commencement of new academic year, the Khan Bank’s website reported.

The High School English Language Project is an intensified training technology designed specifically for English language teachers and Mongolian children. In the first stage, 400 8th grade pupils from #71, #58 and #35 secondary schools in Sukhbaatar district have been involved, and the project will continue for a long-term period.

Present at the ceremony were officials and representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, Talk Talk English Institute, Khan Bank—the project sponsor; Mr D. Ariunbat, a social responsibility implementer; and others.

Khan Bank has been implementing many volunteer projects dedicated to the development of the education sector, among which includes a student scholarship program, Banking Olympiad, research conference and presentation contests, as well as school classroom renovation.

The significance benefits of the High School English Language Project are improved skills of English teachers at schools, and the provision of scientific methodology for world-standard English teaching specifically for Mongolian children.
