Parliament Considers Draft Resolution on Severe Weather Support

Ulaanbaatar, November 25, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Standing Committees on the Budget and on Environment, Food and Agriculture of the State Great Khural held a joint meeting on November 25, 2025, where members supported discussing a draft parliamentary resolution aimed at facilitating efforts to overcome severe weather impacts.
A total of 64
Members of Parliament submitted the proposal, calling for measures to ensure
the import of wheat flour, livestock feed, and feed supplements through the
Tsagaannuur border point in Bayan-Ulgii aimag, Yarant in Khovd, Borshoo in Uvs,
Artssuuri in Zavkhan, and Burgastai in Gobi-Altai aimag. The proposal also
seeks to exempt these imports from customs duties to provide tangible support
to affected citizens.
The draft resolution was prepared in consideration of the challenges facing the agricultural sector, aiming to maintain stable supplies and reserves of essential goods, particularly wheat flour, for remote areas, and to enable the Government to take timely decisions to address feed shortages and potential difficulties caused by adverse weather conditions.
