Term deposit in domestic currency drops by MNT179.2 billion

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The money supply reached MNT 20.2
trillion at the end of April 2020, increased by MNT 253.2 billion (1.3%)
compared with the same period of the previous year.
The national currency in circulation reached MNT 858.5
billion at the end of April 2020 and showing an increase of MNT 10.7 billion
(1.2%) from the previous month, while it is decreased by MNT 74.5 billion
(8.0%) from the same period of the previous year.
At the end of April 2020, the time deposit in domestic
currency amounted to MNT 10.5 trillion, decreased by MNT 179.2 billion (1.7%)
from the previous month, and by MNT 437.3 billion (4.0%) from the same period
of the previous year.
The composition of the total time deposit in domestic
currency shows that 88.4 percent (MNT 9.3 trillion) were individuals is
deposits and 11.6 percent (MNT 1.2 trillion) were entities deposits.
The time deposits in foreign currency amounted to MNT 3.7
trillion, increased by MNT 63.4 billion (1.7%) from the previous month, and by
MNT 886.3 billion (31.0%) from the same period of the previous year.
