National Barista Championship to be held

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The National Barista Championship will be organized for the first time within the Resto Expo 2018 exhibition on September 17 and 18.
Head of the Mongolian Barista Association L.Delgermaa said that previously the companies Sashim and Gourmet organized the barista competitions, however this year it will be the first major competition that involves all baristas of coffee shops and restaurants operating in Mongolia.
It is expected to collect comprehensive data on coffee sector during the championship, specifically, the number of baristas and coffee shops in Mongolia, their level skills and further considerations on trainings.
Baristas above 19, who have experience in working as barista or currently working, can participate in the competition. Participants who passed the preliminary selection will be able to compete in the championship. Winner of the competition will receive MNT 2 million.
In the future, the Mongolian National Barista Championship will be held annually under the Resto Expo.
