TTPP Power Source Framework Agreement signed
On December 31, the Government of Mongolia and Oyu Tolgoi LLC signed the Power Source Framework Agreement (PSFA), which sets out the pathway for Oyu Tolgoi (OT) to construct the Tavan Tolgoi Power Project (TTPP) and secures a long-term domestic power solution for OT and the wider South Gobi region.

In November 2018, consumer price index at the national level increased by 1.8 percent from the previous month, by 7.5 percent from the end of the previous year and by 8.1 percent from the same period of the previous year.

Gross industrial output increases by MNT 2.3 trillion
In the first 11 months of 2018, the gross industrial output reached MNT 14.1 trillion, showing an increase of MNT 2.3 trillion (19.5 percent) from the same period of the previous year. This increase was mainly due to an increase of mining and quarrying gross output by MNT 1.6 trillion (18.3 percent), of which, mining of coal increased by MNT 1.3 trillion (57.9 percent) and mining of metal ores increased by MNT 175.7 (3.2 percent) billion.
