Eco District and Income-Compatible Housing to Be Invested

Ulaanbaatar, September 20, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The Citizens Representative Khural of Ulaanbaatar discussed and approved a draft Resolution on the Investment in the “Eco District and Income-Compatible Housing Fund” on September 19, 2024.


According to the resolution, the first phase of the investment will be put into the construction of eco-friendly residential complexes with low-rise buildings for 800 households in the Bayankhoshuu and Shar Khad areas. The Eco District and Income-Compatible Housing Fund is planned to be established and eco-friendly residential complexes for 4,188 households will be built at the sub-centers. During the meeting, it was highlighted that standards for green buildings and eco-districts would be established, and the competitiveness of the sector would be improved.


The Mayor's Office of Ulaanbaatar City Information and Public Relations Department reported that the residential buildings to be constructed within the project will adhere to 37 types of performance indicators (KP1) for green buildings at all stages of design and construction, in compliance with the International Green Construction Code (IgCC).
