Ulaanbaatar, October 18, 2023 /MONTSAME/. Last week, the Armed Forces of Mongolia signed an agreement with the management of MIAT Mongolian Airlines to operate chartered flights. Under the signing of this Agreement, Mongolian peacekeepers working in global conflict zones were able to cross the border by national airline.

Today, at 08:00 local time, the personnel of the 13th Motorized Rifle Battalion of the Mongolian Armed Forces, who are participating in the UN-mandated peacekeeping mission "UNMISS" in the Republic of South Sudan, took their first flight on a "MIAT" Boeing 767-300 aircraft. Approximately 200 peacekeepers journeyed on this flight.
