MFA Department Director elected as IHFFC member

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Director of the Department of International Law and Treaty of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia S.Sukhbold has been elected as a member of the International Humanitarian Fact-Finding Commission (IHFFC) in the commission’s election that took place in Bern, Switzerland on November 19.


IHFFC, an international body that is available to perform investigations of possible breaches of international humanitarian law, has 15 members. It stands at the service of parties to an armed conflict to conduct enquiries into alleged violations and to facilitate, through its good offices, the restoration of an attitude of respect for that body of law.
