Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of National Defense of the People’s Republic of China Wei Fenghe paid an official visit to Mongolia on July 26. During his visit, the Minister paid a call on Speaker of the State Great Hural G.Zandanshatar and held an official meeting with Minister of Defense G.Saikhanbayar.
At their meeting, the two Defense Ministers discussed cooperation between the two countries in defense, international and regional security, and other issues of common interest.
Moreover, they stressed the importance of bilateral defense cooperation has in strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Mongolia and China and expressed their readiness to closely cooperate in continuing the cooperation through organization of visits, exchanges, and consultative meetings on defense and security of defense officials at all levels, and joint drills when the COVID-19 pandemic eases.
Minister G.Saikhanbayar underscored that the Chinese Minister’s visit signifies how highly relations and cooperation between the two countries have developed in defense, while his counterpart said his visit would be of significance in elevating Mongolia-China defense relations to a new level.
