160 citizens arrive on a Seoul-Ulaanbaatar flight

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At 19.00 pm, May 19, a charter flight in route of Seoul-Ulaanbaatar with 160 passengers on board, landed at Buyant-Ukhaa International Airport in Ulaanbaatar city.

 

The returnees have been placed under isolation at "Novotel", "Kempinski", "Tuushin", "Alpha" and "Guide" hotels and "Mongolica" and "Bagakhangai" resorts.

 

According to the decision of the Government of Mongolia and State Emergency Commission (SEC), Mongolia started organizing charter flights to repatriate its citizens, stranded abroad due to the pandemic, from January 28, 2020. As of May 18, the country has brought 34,553 Mongolian nationals back from 93 countries.

 

In specific, the country has repatriated 27,753 citizens by 170 charter flights and 6,788 citizens by ground transport means through the crossing checkpoints.
