2026 Regional Horse Racing Dates Determined

Ulaanbaatar, April 28, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Under Government Resolution No. 143, adopted on April 22, 2026, the dates of several aimag Naadam festivals have been approved, along with a decision to organize regional horse racing events.
According to the resolution, the Naadam festivals of Dundgobi, Zavkhan, and Sukhbaatar aimags will be held on July 24–26, 2026. The Gobi regional horse race will take place in Dundgobi, the western regional race in Zavkhan, and the eastern regional race in Sukhbaatar aimag.
Meanwhile, Orkhon aimag’s Naadam festival and
the 50th anniversary of the founding of Erdenet city will be celebrated
together with the Khangai regional race on July 23–25. The 85th anniversary of
Bayankhongor aimag will be marked alongside the central regional race on July
25–26.
In
this connection, the 2026 regional horse racing events will be organized in
coordination with aimag Naadam festivals in cooperation with the Mongolian
Horse Sports and Trainers Association.
