Bogd Khaan Palace Museum: The Crowns of the Bogd Khaan and Queen Dondogdulam
Art & CultureUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. This particular five-sided hat with a golden crown and a golden ochir at the top is referred to as the ‘Five-sided Black Fox Fur Crown’ as it was worn by the Bogd Khaan.
The crown’s golden ochir is made with the Five Tathagatas, which symbolizes abandoning the Five Hindrances - or the principle of enlightenment in Buddhism.
