Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Minister of Health T. Munkhsaikhan said, “We have sufficient supply of the ventilator breathing apparatus for the treatment of COVID-19, and plan to receive additional 400 devices,” at the press briefing on the decisions of the State Emergency Commission yesterday.

He said, “Currently, there are 23 ventilator apparatus at the National Center for Communicable Diseases, 12 in the Central Military Hospital, 50 in the new 300-bed hospital in Yarmag as well as 50 in hospitals of districts and aimags for ensuring preparedness. Moreover, 20 portable breathing apparatus are ready in use. In total, there are about 180 ventilator breathing apparatus available. We made orders for the apparatus in August, but the production was in shortage at that time due to the pandemic. As the manufacturers’ reserve has improved, now we are ready to receive our orders. We will receive the first 200 apparatus on December 8 and the next 200 on December 20 this year. Specialists have been trained to operate these apparatus in the past and the training will be continued.”
