Cooperation between Agricultural Ministry and UNDP discussed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Z.Mendsaikhan has received Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Elaine Conkievich.
Expressing her confidence that the Parliament would approve the draft Law on livestock taxation in the near future, Ms. Elaine Conkievich pledged to support implementation of proper pasture management.
Noting that he will provide support to projects and programs being realized by the UNDP in the field of food and agriculture, Minister Z.Mendsaikhan briefed on the measures taken by the Government of Mongolia to ensure food security and maintain stability amid the pandemic. Moreover, he underlined that herders support the Ministry's policy to introduce proper pasture management. The sides agreed to further expand their cooperation.
