Foreign Minister takes part in webinar hosted by AustCham Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On May 14, Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar along with Australian Ambassador to Mongolia Dave Vosen and President of AustCham Mongolia Michael Marshall took part in a webinar hosted by AustCham Mongolia for around 40 AustCham Mongolia members under the topic ‘Understanding COVID-19's Impact on the Foreign Investment and Trade’.


Minister D.Tsogtbaatar gave detailed information on the actions the Parliament, Government, and the Foreign Ministry of Mongolia have been taking to reduce the adverse impacts of Covid-19 on Mongolia’s social and economic development and foreign trade and stimulate the economy.


The Minister also informed of the country’s initiative to set up an Emergency Medical Response Unit for prompt and efficient regional response to health crisis such as Covid-19 and another initiative to introduce new quarantine regime, ‘Mobile Quarantine’, for example, for uninterrupted trade and economic activities.


Ambassador Dave Vosen and AustCham Mongolia President Michael Marshall expressed their appreciation of the Mongolian government’s efforts to prevent Covid-19 spread and protect the public’s health and safety and undertook to work together with Mongolia to help businesses get back on the track.
