Iranian boxer wins over D.Byamba-Erdene

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Mongolia boxer IM D.Byamba-Erdene lost to his Iranian opponent M.Shahin with the final score of 4:1 in men’s 75 kg weight category at Asian and Oceania boxing tournament held on March 3-11 in Amman, Jordan. As a consequence, D.Byamba-Erdene could not manage to become the 2nd Mongolian boxer to qualify for the Olympics.
As for the female athletes, IM T.Bolortuul in 57 kg, M.Namuun in 60 kg, U.Shinetsetseg in 69 kg and M.Myagmarjargal in 75 kg have advanced to the final 8 in the tournament. Apparently, they failed to pass the qualifiers.
The boxers who could not secure
their slot in the Olympics will compete for the remaining slots in Paris,
France in May.
