Meeting of Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization held in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Thirteenth Meeting of the Council of Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) took place on November 5-7 in Ulaanbaatar city.


Some 50 delegates from the countries such as Bangladesh, China, Iran, Pakistan, Peru, Thailand, Turkey and Mongolia took part in the meeting, reviewing activities of the APSCO in addition to discussing and resolving over 20 issues including development plan, membership expansion policy and other rules.


APSCO is an intergovernmental organization of countries in Asia and the Pacific region for the use of space for peaceful purpose and it carries out projects in main directions including space research, space technology, its usage and training.  


Mongolia is one of the founders of the organization and the Communications and Information Technology Authority represents Mongolia.
