Customs revenue to state budget reached MNT 2.7 trillion

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian customs organization accumulated MNT 2.7 trillion to the state budget in 2018, overperforming their target revenue collection by 124 percent or MNT 538 billion, reported during Customs Authorities Symposium held yesterday.

 

In the frames of the trade facilitation agreement, the customs organization has contributed to formulate and get adopted several documents such as ‘Trade Facilitation Road Map 2018-2022’ and “Strategy plan for the Committee 2018- 2022’. Moreover, it has started implementing a program ‘Accredited Entity’.

 

Last year, 2028 infringement cases were detected based on the study of commercial fraud and customs infringement and imposed penalty equals to MNT 2.3 billion. Moreover, the Mongolian customs officers collected customs and other unpaid back taxes amounted to MNT 6.1 billion.

 

In 2018, 95 percent of total export documents were created without paper. The Mongolian customs organization announced 2019 as the year of ‘Advanced Technology and Smart Control’.
