Canada’s Senator awarded with Friendship Medal

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ According to the Presidential decree, Joseph A. Day, Senator and Chairman of the Canada-Mongolia Friendship Group in the Parliament of Canada, was awarded with ‘Friendship’ Medal of Mongolia in recognition of his contribution to expanding and deepening the bilateral relations and cooperation between two countries.

The medal was presented to Senator Joseph A. Day on April 30 at the Embassy of Mongolia in Ottawa, Canada.
The ceremony was attended by Global Affairs Canada officials, former ambassadors of Canada to Mongolia, individuals with close links to Mongolia, news reporters, Mongolia’s Honorary Consul in Montreal as well as representatives of Mongolian communities in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto.
