Meeting hosted between diplomats and journalists

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs  and Confederation of Mongolian Journalists co-organized a meeting ‘Journalists and Ambassadors’ at Blue Sky Hotel on March 24.

It was attended by over 30 ambassadors of foreign countries, general consuls, representatives of international organizations to Mongolia and more than 50 representatives of Mongolian press and media to seek cooperation and exchange views.

In his remarks, the Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar emphasized that the meeting played an important role to expand relations with the press and media and strengthen bilateral relations between two countries.

President of the CMJ Kh.Mandakhbayar stated about new development of Mongolian journalism, its goals of a decade and works planned in 2018. He said the CMJ is working to raise reputations of national journalism which has a history of 105 years and the CMJ with history of 67 years, safeguard and develop free press, esteem press freedom, persistently protect interest of journalists and workers of the sector and mass media, improve their financial independence, develop its foreign relations and make CMJ independent.

Appreciating for organizing the event, representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations received latest information on Mongolian journalism and exchanged views on many issues, including further cooperation with press organizations.
