National University of Mongolia to broaden cooperation with University of Havana

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The President of the National University of Mongolia (NUM), Ya.Tumurbaatar visited the Republic of Cuba on February 12-15 at invitation of the President of University of Havana, Gustavo Cobreiro for attending "University 2018" international higher education congress and celebrations of the 290th anniversary of establishment of the University of Havana.
In frame of his visit, President of the NUM Ya.Tumurbaatar has held several meetings, in particular, the President of the Union of Universities of Latin America, Henning Jensen, the Director of Economics Faculty of the University of Havana, Dr.Antonio Romero, and the Director of Language and Cultural Faculty of the University, Ms.Rodriguez Puerto.
At the meetings, the sides exchanged views on intensifying cooperation between the two universities, conducting joint researches and exchanging teachers, students and scolars and defined priority directions of the further cooperation.
Moreover, he got acquainted with activity of the Cuban Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology and the National Center for Diabetes Study where the two parties agreed to render reciprocal supports in developing joint actions against diabetes, hepatite B and C , to conduct joint researches and to maintain active cooperation through establishing joint research team comprising scolars of the two countries.
