MPs present draft bills on parliamentary bylaw, public hearing and presidential election

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Draft amendments to the Law on Parliamentary Session rules of procedures, draft parliamentary resolution on adopting regulations for organizing public hearings, and draft law on presidential election of Mongolia were presented to the Speaker M.Enkhbold by O.Baasankhuu, N.Oyundari and N.Enkhbold MPs.

The draft law on presidential election of Mongolia has been initiated by N.Enkhbold, B.Batzorig, Z.Narantuya, N.Oyundari and D.Khayankhyarvaa MPs and has been developedin consideration of recommendations delivered by the General Election Committee and electoral specialists. General provisions about the presidential election in the Law on Elections are kept intact. The new bill elaborates provisions covering only for presidential election, and has 14 chapters and 104 articles.

The MPs considered that the parliament should pass regulations on the procedures of organizing public hearings on the levels of parliament, its committees and sub-committees.

As for the suggested amendments to the Law on Parliamentary Session rules of procedure, the law initiators have come up with a separate chapter to regulate the rules only.
