Mongolia’s external debt as of Q1 2016

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ As of the first quarter of 2016, total balance of Mongolia’s external debt amounted to USD 22.599 billion, increasing by USD 1.614 billion compared to the same period of the last year.

This increase was mainly due to Government debt (30%), central bank external payables (13%), external debts of banks (30%), external debts of other sectors (entities, citizens and the Development Bank – 8%) and the credits of foreign investment companies (20%).
