SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In first two months of this year, 176.4 thousand people received pensions and allowance of MNT 23.7 billion, therefore the number of receivers of pensions and social welfare allowance increased by 17 thousand or 10.6%, and the amount of money for the pensions and allowance went up by MNT 1.9 billion or 8.5% against the previous year.
In the first two months of 2016, 53.8 thousand people were involved in the social insurance allowance, showing a decline of 2.8 thousand or 4.9%, while the amount of money increased by MNT 0.9 billion or 7.6% against the previous year.
In the period, 91.6 thousand people enjoyed social welfare services and discounts, 57.3% of them are elders, 6.8%--the people with disabilities, and 2.7%--the people with special titles.
959.3 thousand children aged up to 18 years old received cash benefits of MNT 38.8 billion from the Human Development Fund.
