Number of registered unemployed goes up
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ According the labor force survey, a number of unemployed stood at 96.5 thousand by the fourth quarter of 2015, while a number of job seekers, registered at employment organizations, was 48.3 thousand by the end of February of 2016. Some 25 thousand of them are women.
Thirty five thousand of the total job seekers are unemployed, which is an increase of 1.3 thousand or 3.9% against the previous year, and of 0.5 thousand or 1.4% against this year's January. Some 18 thousand or 53.0% of the registered unemployed are women.
In the first two months of 2016, employment organizations of the capital city and aimags registered 17.7 thousand job seekers. Some 2 thousand of them have been employment, 13 thousand have been removed from the registration.
A bit more than 46 percent of the registered unemployment are people with secondary education, 29.2%--have higher education with diplomas or BA degrees, 7.0%--are graduates of vocational training centers, 6.6%--graduates of specialized secondary schools, 6.1%--graduates of private schools, 2.2%--people with elementary education, 1.2%--graduates with MA and PhD, and 1.2%--do not have any educational certificates.
