Air quality monitoring devices installed in Bayankhongor aimag
As part of ‘Smog-Free Bayankhongor’ initiative by UNICEF, SDC Mongolia and Bayankhongor aimag, a team led by Prof. Jay Turner from Washington University in St.Louis, Prof. Munkhbayar of Building Energy Efficiency Center of Mongolian University of Science and Technology, and UNICEF Mongolia specialists are working to establish a Reference Air Quality Monitoring Station (BAM 1020).

Raw coal ban implementation supervised
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Government’s resolution to ban on raw coal consumption in Ulaanbaatar city has been in effect since May 15 this year as an effort to tackle air pollution. Under the auspices of the Prime Minister of Mongolia, the First Veterinarian Conference was organized at the State House on November 1. GMIT donated with 3D modeling and mining software
To support ambitious engineering programs of German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT), MAPTEC donated 10 software units of Vulcan - the solution for the most advanced 3D geological modelling, mine design and production planning, on October 30. This software has a monetary equivalent of MNT1.1 billion.

Book about Marco Polo's journey by Ramusio translated into Mongolian

As part of ‘Monumenta Mongolica’ published by Center for Mongol Studies of the National University of Mongolia (NUM), ‘The Travels of Marco Polo’ (version by Giovanni Battista Ramusio of 1559) book was translated into Mongolian language. The work containing collection of travel manuscripts by Marco Polo was translated from Italian language by Prof. Dr. Elisabetta Ragagnin and G.Bat-Uchral.
