ADB, Mongolia's Milko Sign Deal to Expand Dairy Operations and Improve Rural Livelihoods

On November 28, Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a local currency loan equivalent to $7.5 million with Milko LLC (Milko), a member of the Teso group (Teso) and a leading dairy company in Mongolia, to support the company’s plans to expand its dairy operations, while empowering women and men throughout its supply chain.

National program to develop amenity services adopted
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On November 28, the cabinet approved a national program on development of amenity services industry. The required funding for the program implementation will be reflected in government’s annual general direction and state and local budgets, to be financed by assistance and loans from international organizations and foreign countries.

On November 26, Mongolian Foreign Ministry, Institute of History and Ethnography of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS), Choijin Lama Temple Museum, and Berlin State Library (SBB) jointly opened the ‘Mandala – Secret Tantric Temple’ photo exhibition showcasing historical photographs of the Choijin Lama Temple Museum and organized the ‘Religious and cultural development during the reign of Bogd Khan’ Mongolian studies academic conference in Germany.

Oath of Mongolian Citizenship taken by 850 students
On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Mongolian People’s Republic with the adoption of the first Constitution, a ceremony took place for 850 students from nine districts of Ulaanbaatar, and 21 aimags of the country to take the oath of Mongolian Citizenship at the State House on November 26.
