Graduates of GMIT are in high demand in the Mongolian private sector. This is due to their excellent technical knowledge and strong English language skills, as all courses at GMIT are conducted in English. The GMIT places a strong emphasis on practical education, requiring both a basic and professional internship as part of the curriculum.

The academic year 2024–2025 was a remarkable one for GMIT, filled with notable achievements, including:

  • Successful international and national re-accreditation of bachelor's and master's programs
  • Finalization of doctoral program curricula and clarification of the scope of involvement and support from German partner universities
  • Continued progress on the construction of a new 5,700 square meter training and research building which is financed with the support of KfW, Germany´s development bank.

The GMIT’s activities are being supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) with the Mongolian Ministry of Education.
