Spring sowing running at 60 percent nationwide
As of May 31, grains have been sown on 293.9 thousand ha nationwide, potato -- 9.0 thousand ha, vegetables – 3.5 thousand ha, oil plants – 26.2 thousand ha, or 342.9 ha in total. By doing so, overall nationwide sowing is running at about 60 percent on average.

The First Mongolia International Ballet Competition announced the best dancers on June 1. O.Anujin from Mongolia became The best of the best from over 80 ballet dancers of seven countries competed in three age categories and two genres-modern and classic.

Fluorspar export reaches 78.3 thousand tons in three months
A discussion of fluorspar miners was held yesterday organized by the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry and the Mineral Resource and Petroleum Authority (MRPA) and gathered some 100 delegates from the Ministry, the MRPA, relevant agencies and authorities as well as fluorspar mining companies.

Legendary Rock Stars depicted on canvas
The ‘Perpetual Melody’ exhibition of legendary artists’ portraits opened at the Best art gallery of the Union of Mongolian Artists on May 28. Portraits, line drawings, caricatures, posters, boxes and postage stamps depicting bands including ‘Kharanga’, ‘Khurd’, music composers, singers and other Mongolian artists, ‘The Beatles’, ‘Pink Floyd’, ‘Queen’, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson are displayed at the exhibition.
