EU to assess if Mongolia is eligible for Budget Support
Officials from the EU institutions visited Ulaanbaatar from 23 to 27 April to assess if Mongolia is eligible for an EU Budget Support Operation.  Budget Support involves direct financial transfers to the national budget of the partner country and is basedon policy dialogue, performance assessment and capacity building. This approach respects partner countries' ownership of development policies and reforms, focusing on results for people and sustainable development.

Goyo LLC to increase its capacity by five times
One of the first producers of wool and cashmere in Mongolia, Goyo LLC plans to make investment of MNT 55 billion (USD 22.5 million) in 2018 to increase the level of its cashmere processing, the portfolio, the quality of finished products and yarns, and increase the export.

State-owned enterprises had net profit of MNT 880 billion in 2017
The ‘Management and Corporate Social Responsibility of state-owned enterprises-2018’ event to promote the activities, achievements and further goals of state participation and state-owned companies to the public took place at Sukhbaatar square today, May 3. Total of 75 companies including Erdenet Mining Corporation, Erdenes Mongol, MIAT, Ulaanbaatar Railway and National Auto Transportation Center participated the event.

International training to take place on Satellite communication technology
An international training on 'Satellite communication technology and operations' is to take place on May 7-12 in Ulaanbaatar. The Communications and Information Technology Authority of Mongolia and Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization/APSCO/ is co-organizing the training with aims to improve skills and knowledge of employees working in satellite service sector and to promote the implementation of the 'National satelite' project.

‘Motion Mongolia’ first international contemporary dance festival to be held
The Arts Council of Mongolia (ACM) is organizing Motion Mongolia International Contemporary Dance Festival jointly with the Embassy of US in Mongolia on May 7-14, 2018 for the first time in Mongolia.  The festival aims to bring to local audiences the world-class performances and the professional artists from the most prestigious theatres around the world, thereby promoting cultural diversity and expanding international cooperation in the performing arts sector.
