International Ballet Competition announces its bests

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The First Mongolia International Ballet Competition announced the best dancers on June 1. O.Anujin from Mongolia became The best of the best from over 80 ballet dancers of seven countries competed in three age categories and two genres-modern and classic.



Founder of the Mongolia Ballet Development Foundation, Cultural Envoy, State Honored Artist of Mongolia D.Altankhuyag said “Ballet has a 500 years of history. Although Mongolian ballet has only 60-year history, the competition shows that our ballet dancers are highly appreciated on the global level. In recent years, Asian countries are developing the classical arts including music, dance and paintings, preparing the artists from early ages. Mongolia should train future generations the same way”.

Best of the best - O.Anujin, Mongolia

Senior (19-29) category:
Male - Timur Dymchikov, Buryatia
Female - Sasaki Mana, Japan



Junior II (15-18) category:
Male - O.Davaadorj, Mongolia
Female - B.Maral, Mongolia



Junior I (12-14) category:
Joo Young Kwon, Korea

Juries of the competition were internationally renowned experts of China, Russia, Japan, Korea, Kazakhstan, Singapore and Germany and  the judging panel was headed by Mongolian People’s Actor, Hero of Labor, State Honored Ballet Master B.Jamiyandagva.
