Capital city reports 50 new cases of COVID-19
The National Center for Communicable Diseases has reported today that a total of 12,250 people were involved in the PCR testing nationwide since yesterday, resulting in a detection of 50 positive cases of COVID-19 in Ulaanbaatar city.

At the regular press briefing of the Ministry of Health today on February 6, it was reported that 61 new cases were detected in Mongolia after testing 20,853 people nationwide within the past 24 hours.

Today on February 5, Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene held a meeting with representatives of the IT and communications sector. According to the Ministry of Health, 38 new cases of COVID-19 were reported after testing 14,283 people nationwide in the last 24 hours.

Additional charter flight to be carried out to S.Korea
According to the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Emergency Commission has decided to carry out one more charter flight on February 19 to the Republic of Korea to bring 250 Mongolian nationals back.

SEC decides to put the capital city under quarantine from February 11 to 23
At its meeting dated on February 3, the State Emergency Commission (SEC) made a decision to declare public readiness for disaster protection or to put the capital city under quarantine during the Lunar New Year or from February 11 to 23 with a view to prevent from the risk of coronavirus.

Construction of School No.75 completed in framework of JICA project
The construction of the building for School No.75 has completed and accepted by the state commission. Construction work for two new school buildings as well as extensions for two schools kicked off in 2017 in the framework of the project for the improvement of facilities for primary and secondary education in Ulaanbaatar city being implemented by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) with non-refundable aid of the Government of Japan.
