592 public services to become available online in 100 days

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Today on February 5, Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene held a meeting with representatives of the IT and communications sector. During the meeting, the PM called for action in order to achieve ‘Digital Transition – Digital Nation’, highlighting the possibility to digitally resolve various issues, starting from road traffic to healthcare services.


He then said, “By transitioning into a system independent of other people, bureaucracy will be reduced in public services and duplicate job positions will be eliminated.

 

To become a digital nation, we will need to actively work on this matter for 3 years.



“Starting from today, 592 public services will be made available digitally in 100 days. The workload of state servants will be reduced by 20-35 percent. In order to assist state servants and citizens in using the system, the E-Mongolia Academy will also be established.


To become a digital nation, we will need to actively work on this matter for 3 years. Due to the crucial importance of the digital transition, I perceive it is necessary to establish the Ministry of Digital Development as the matter of digital development is important in all sectors,” he said.

 

He then noted that the bill for the Law on Privacy of Personal Information will be presented to the parliament and discussed during its spring session.


During the meeting, the PM also announced that the Government will introduce a plan to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic in the coming week, which reflects how the transition to active normal life will be carried out in the current state of situation.
