Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Starting today until September 27, the government of Mongolia is organizing Open Door Days at the central square to introduce its activities and offer government services to the public.
New flyover opens for traffic with expectation of easing traffic jam
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In Ulaanbaatar, a new flyover from the Olympic Street to the Ikh Mongol Street crossing over the Narny Road and 406th railway level crossing opened for traffic on September 16. China Railway 20 Bureau Group Corporation worked as a main contractor of the flyover construction project with a total cost of USD 42.38 million, and Rostov LLC has been responsible for the consultancy work.
Mongolia-US joint disaster management exercise ‘Gobi Wolf 2019’ underway
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. ‘Gobi Wolf-2019’ international exercise is taking place in Dornogobi aimag between September 9 and 21. For the 8th year since 2009, the international exercise is being jointly organized by the National Emergency Management Agency, the Embassy of the United States and the United States Indo-Pacific Command.
Prime Minister works in Selenge aimag to check on crop harvesting works
Selenge /MONTSAME/. Last weekend, Prime Minster of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh worked in Selenge aimag, a region of agricultural breadbasket. During his working trip, the head of the government got acquainted with the harvesting of the ‘Agro Shim’ LLC in Orkhontuul soum and the field of B.Khadbaatar, the leading farmer of Orkhon soum and irrigation system of ‘Norbu Agko’ LLC in Baruuburen soum.
President Kh.Battulga visits construction site of Tavantolgoi-Zuunbayan railroad
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Over the weekend, President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga worked in Dornogobi aimag to keep abreast to development works of the Tavantolgoi-Zuunbayan railroad. According to the state Policy on the railway sector, the 414.6 km long railroad is under construction in Mandakh and Zuunbayan soums of Dornogobi aimag at the same time.
Foreign Minister receives Cuban Ambassador

Discover Mongolia 2019 international forum to be held

The 17th annual Discover Mongolia conference will be organized on September 26-28 by the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry, the Business Council of Mongolia and the Mongolian National Mining Association. The event is aimed at showcasing key private sector led projects that are advancing towards development or are already in construction/production, discussing political and public sentiment ahead of the 2020 Parliamentary election, government legislative plans, including proposed constitutional amendments and other issues genuinely impacting investors and financiers.

UN human rights expert presents findings on Mongolia’s financial and economic issues

The United Nations Independent Expert on foreign debt and human rights, Juan Pablo Bohoslavsky, conducted an official visit to Mongolia from 2 to 11 September 2019, at the invitation of the Government. Today, September 11, the Independent Expert held a press conference to present his preliminary findings and conclusions of his visit.

Government of Mongolia and ADB promote private sector opportunities

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Ministry of Finance of Mongolia co-hosted a private sector opportunities workshop today in Ulaanbaatar, which was attended by over 150 local and foreign private sector companies operating in the country. Mongolia’s Vice Minister of Finance Ms. Bulgantuya Khurelbaatar and ADB’s Deputy Country Director for Mongolia Mr. Declan Magee opened the event.
Forum on traditional Mongolian medicine takes place in China

On the sidelines of the third Mongolia-China Expo, being held in Hohhot, Ulanqab and Tongliao cities of Inner Mongolia, China from September 6 to 10, a forum “International development of traditional Mongolian medicine and hospital” was also organized”. Officials from the Mongolian Ministry of Health took part in the forum and got acquainted with the Rehabilitation Care Hospital and Pharmaceutical manufacturing company in in Tongliao city.
