Debut album of The HU hits No. 1 on Billboard World Albums chart
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Debut album ‘Gereg’ by Mongolian rock band, The Hu, who already found fame in the world of rock music, reached number one in the World Albums chart by Billboard this week. This is the first time ever an album by a Mongolian band taken the top ranking on the Billboard Music chart.
Sustainability and mobility of smart cities being discussed in Ulaanbaatar

Mongolian artist A.Ochirbold wins Nordart Prize 2019
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Nordart 2019 international exhibition of visual arts is taking place in Büdelsdorf, Germany from June 1 to October 13. For the 21st time, the largest annual exhibitions of contemporary art in Europe is presenting paintings and sculptures, photographs and installations by 200 selected artists from all over the world, including Mongolia with its special project titled ‘In der Welt Sein: Encountering Sublimity’ featuring 23 works of 53 artists.

Medical equipment provided to support maternal and newborn health service
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. With funding of the project by the Government of Mongolia, Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and UNFPA Mongolia, aimed at improving maternity and infant health service in Mongolia through introduction of new technology and equipment, 11 types of maintenance and control equipment for medical services have been delivered to the Ministry of Health. The total cost of the equipment handed over to the center for Health Development of the Ministry of Health and maternity and general hospitals of the country is MNT 179.7 million.

Illegal licenses of artisanal mining to be revoked

The Cabinet gave orders to corresponding government organizations and officials to speed up the works directed at erasing negative environmental impacts of artisanal mining, protection of environment, land rehabilitation and stop illegal mining activities and take enhanced control.
Flour price to remain stable next year
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Cabinet made a decision to raise wheat incentive to reach MNT 100 thousand per ton from former rate of MNT 50 thousand. In order to receive the incentive, the wheat supplied to flour mill must comply with standards. This measure is part of the efforts to increase flour production of domestic factories and prevent flour price to rise. Agricultural farmers believe that the flour price will remain stable thanks to this decision.
Mongolia’s total external debt amounts to USD 29.7 billion

On September 17, “Balance of payments and external debts” theoretical and practical conference was organized at the initiative of the Bank of Mongolia on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the establishment of banking sector in Mongolia.
