Mongolia-China consular consultative meeting held in Beijing

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On December 6, the 20th consular consultative meeting between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the People’s Republic of China took place in Beijing, China. Co-chaired by Director of the Consular Department of Mongolian Foreign Ministry L.Mukhtushig and his Chinese equivalent Cui Aimin, the meeting involved representatives from Mongolia’s General Consulates in Hohhot, Hong Kong, and Shanghai and consulate in Erenhot.


The sides exchanged views and information on travel conditions and issues challenging protection of rights of the two countries’ citizens and businesses and provision of consular services to the truck drivers crossing Gashuunsukhait and Gants mod ports and discussed and reached agreement over a wide area of consular issues such as the barriers faced by Mongolian students in applying for a Chinese visa to study in the country.

It was also agreed to cooperate in preventing criminal activities and run a campaign to make citizens aware of relevant laws and regulations of the two countries.
