/MONTSAME/ On December 5, the European Union Delegation to Mongolia hosted an
event ‘Let’s study in Europe’ for the first time in Mongolia. The event
highlighted Erasmus+ program, which provides opportunity to study at over 100 European
universities and colleges for a long and short period.
At the opening of the event, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports B.Bayarsaikhan noted that the Government has been successfully implementing numerous projects and programs in partnership with the European Union and its member states and intends to broaden this friendly cooperation in the future.
In aims of benefiting more Mongolian students from the program, which gives broad opportunities to study at European top universities and colleges, the EU Delegation to Mongolia organized the event.
All the expanses are covered from the program and university professors and staffs are able to be involved in the program aside from students. The program is categorized into two levels: bachelor degree and master degree. A total of 9 million students have been involved in the program, which has been successfully running by the EU and its member states for many years.
Ambassador of the European Union to Mongolia Traian Laurentiu Hristea said that the continent of Europe has large number of universities, colleges and educational institutes, which provide world-level education and it offers multiple education programs. "The program will be carried out until 2020 and it is possible to extend the program term. 21 percent of total funding of the program is allocated to Asian countries. Therefore, I wish Mongolian students to use advantages of the program and benefit more from it. Since we presented activities of universities in countries such as France, German, Czech and Romania at the event, I hope that Mongolian students received wide range of information about the program," he added.
