Center for children with special needs to be established in Darkhan soum
Society
Darkhan-Uul /MONTSAME/ On December 3, Governor of Darkhan soum B.Azjargal and Secretary of Lions Clubs International service club’s District 355-C Kim Hyun Tae signed a memorandum of cooperation on the establishment of a daycare center for children with special needs under the kindergarten No. 7 of the soum.
The center
is planned to be built in an area up to 200m2 and the
construction is expected to be completed by spring 2020. Around 70 percent of
the total 200 children with disabilities in the aimag are aged between 0 and 7, of which
only 30 go to kindergarten. Thus, the center will be of great significance in guaranteeing
the rest of those children the right to education, letting them socialize, and giving
rehabilitation and nursing services
According to
the memorandum, the sides will not only collaborate on this project, but also
in sports and tourism and expand their cooperation further.
