Discussion takes place on defining pressing issues of education sector master plan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The education sector master plan is under development by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank.
The ADB is implementing a project, ‘Supporting the Development of an Education Sector Master Plan’ and the Ministry has been working on the master plan development in partnership with the ADB project team since June 2018 under the memorandum established between the two parties in 2018.
On October 21, a discussion on the progress of master plan development was jointly organized by the Ministry, ADB Project and, UNICEF.
Studies and detailed assessment on the sector and sub-sector that is necessary for the master plan development have been done alongside two workshops on comprehensive analysis of policy, and capacity building for developing policy simulations.
The discussion’s aim was to define the pressing issues of each sub-sector based on the joint studies done on the sector as well as researches conducted with the support of donor international organizations and the suggestions of participating sides. State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports B.Bayarsaikhan, heads of policy departments, corresponding specialists, representatives of affiliate and international organizations, and officials of the Ministry of Finance and the National Development Agency attended the discussion.
