Mongolian delegation attending 59th session of WIPO Assemblies

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Officials of the National Intellectual Property Authority and the Permanent Mission of Mongolia to UN led by Permanent Representative, Ambassador L.Purevsuren are taking part in the 59th Series of Meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).


At the general debate taking place on the first days of the session, Permanent Representative, Ambassador L.Purevsuren voiced Mongolia’s position on some of the issues included in the agenda while presenting the actions being taken by the country on the enhancement of intellectual property protection system at national and international level. In particular, he underscored that the government of Mongolia in collaboration with WIPO successfully organized the Inter-Regional Meeting on Partnership for Innovation and Technological Capacity Building for Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) and Landlocked Least Developed Countries (LDCs) on September 2-3 in addition to holding Sub-Regional Meeting on Copyright as an Enabler for Economic Development and Cultural Prosperity and National Workshop on Enhancing the National Copyright System in May.
