Energy Minister attends High-Level Dialogue

/MONTSAME/ Upon the invitation of the United Nations, Minister of Energy
Ts.Davaasuren took part in the High-Level Dialogue on the implementation of the
United Nations Decade of Sustainable Energy for All 2014-2024, held in New York
between May 23 and 24.
The Minister participated in a Ministerial Panel, giving remarks on international energy cooperation as well as the projects and activities being undertaken. He also held meetings with his counterparts from UN member states to discuss energy programs and projects being considered under the Mongolia-Russia-China economic corridor, projects and programs implemented under Mongolia’s Green Development Policy, initiatives and actions for renewable energy development, Northeast Asia power interconnection initiative, and regional energy partnerships.
Moreover, S.Sukhbold,
Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations and
B.Yerun-Ulzii, Chairman of a Department at Mongolian Energy Ministry attended the event. In
his address to the dialogue, Minister Ts.Davaasuren emphasized that the
countries’ close cooperation is of high importance in making the energy reliable
and affordable in the future, in addition to keeping it clean and
environmentally friendly.
